This is really starting to get to me. After a week of Pat Robertson getting on my nerves with his stupid comments about Liberia and the Supreme Court, I now have to read this story about John Hagee, the televangelist from San Antonio. In 2001, Hagee’s total compensation was $1.25 million. His ministry racked in $18.3 million for the year. I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous.

When it rains, it pours. I thought we’d heard all there was to hear from Pat Robertson after his outburst last week about Liberia. But now he’s praying that Supreme Court justices will retire. Would someone please give this guy the hook?
I’ve never been a huge fan of Pat Robertson. While his political views on some issues may parallel my own, I’ve increasingly found myself cringing whenever he opens his mouth. In the wake of September 11, he said a bunch of foolish things about Muslims and even agreed with Jerry Falwell that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 happened because of the ACLU, homosexuals, and abortionists. He’s at it again.

I guess the summer heat must be getting to people. According to this report, five thousand people spent their weekend marching in protest of the “U.S. occupation of Iraq” and to free Mumia. I guess all that’s left is to legalize pot and they’d be all set.
